Those dern must-hav's

I love shopping for other people, generally only buy necessities for myself. The last non-necessity I bought for myself was a few months ago, a pendant being sold for a charity. I still feel vaguely uneasy when I wear it, make myself feel better by saying it's an excuse to talk about the charity.

I've been Christmas shopping lately and am enjoying it enormously! I just bought my bf a guidebook to France (we're thinking of a holiday). I bought a couple of small antique prints for a young boy who lives in a children's home. I volunteered to organise his Christmas gifts. It's loads of fun. I'm buying some things myself and am shamelessly begging my friends to buy him some gifts as well.

I love shopping for others, but recently I have been on a shopping binge for clothes!

I went shopping at Walmart...oh man, I am so sad haha

Yay! I've managed to raise money for all the boy's gifts (the one I volunteered to organise presents for)!

AND -- Mindful of our shared tendency to buy gifts for others rather than for ourselves, I went to a shop that carries clothing by up & coming designers and bought myself an outfit. Shamefully expensive. But I need a dress-up outfit. And the woman who owns the shop has helped a charity I'm involved in. Wouldn't have bought so much otherwise.

Hope my bf likes it.

Shopping for clothes is just kind of a hassle, honestly. I don't like pulling shirts over my already done hair.

Someday when I am rich, I am want to go shopping in Venice or Milan for fine lingerie.

Venice or Milan . . . lovely! I usually rely on my bf for nice things but wouldn't it be fun to buy something for myself and surprise him.

My bf's father is hard to buy presents for but he loves books. I went to an antiquarian booksellers' shop and bought him two books, and bought my bf a book, and even bought myself a book on cross-cultural spirituality. (Another present for myself! I think this site's doing me good -- all that self-awareness.)

I'm a very impulsive shopper... and I get paid this week. WOOT. I plan on attacking the dollar store so I do not spend too much but get my spending out. OH fun kid toys.

I want to go shopping in Lolita goth stores in Japan.

Of course! Shopping is always better with good company!
